The Azienda Agricola Eugenio Bocchino is located in the heart of the Barolo appellation, at the entrance of the La Morra village. In Piemont one must be particularly passionate and dedicated in order to find a quality vineyard parcel when one does not come from a winemaker family. A clear vision is required, as well as a firm work ethic not give in to the temptation to make wines more "profitable" and the balance sheet more attractive. Eugenio Bocchino, with his unshakable values, has succeeded in creating and establishing a high quality estate that is both authentic and serious. He and his wife Cinzia run this organically laboured 5.5 hectare estate and adhere as much as possible to biodynamic farming principles.
The Azienda Agricola Eugenio Bocchino is not like other wineries and estates. All their vineyards are rented because of the high vineyard prices in Barolo. In addition Eugenio and Cinzia make no concessions and produce the best possible wines. In 2014 they sold half of their crop because they were not satisfied with the quality of the grapes, even though this decision affected profitability. Here, work ethic and respect for quality are paramount. Because of these values and high standards, and of course because of their magnificent product range, one must try Eugenio and Cinzia Bocchino’s wines.
