The Conegliano Valdobbiadene appellation is located 65 km north of Venice and lies between the town of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene on the hills of the province of Treviso, in north-eastern Veneto. Because of the region’s steep slopes mechanical work in the vineyard is challenging which encourages a manual approach, more respectful and less invasive for the environment. Here, aromatic white wines dominate the wine production and it is on this soil that the best Prosecco (sparkling white wine) is produced. In addition to the indigenous grape varieties unique to the region, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet can give surprising results when grown and vinified by good winemakers.
There is, in Treviso, a dynamic, peaceful and balanced co-existence between man and nature. Everything seems to fit perfectly into this picturesque scenery: green hills, morainal soils of volcanic origin, acute slopes and winemakers who have for generations worked the land with dedication and affection.
